Noisette Blush Rose

I painted this for my cousins, who are having their family reunion here in Charleston this weekend. They are the descendents of Philippe Stanislaus Noisette who developed this rose in the early 1800's. Philippe was a botanist from Paris who was sent to Haiti by the French government to gather seeds and plants from America for development in France. See the news article for more info at this link.
Prints and notecards of this painting are available at my online store.
