Meeting Street Gate, Charleston

11"x14" - Oil

This is one of the paintings I have on sale at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery. I did this from a photo I had taken a few years back. Nowadays, the vines above the gate and the bench have been removed and the gate has since been painted light beige. I love the design of the wood and the hardware on it. It doesn't look like they picked up a couple of hinges at Lowe's, but some blacksmith spent some hours pounding and shaping them.
