5"x8" - Watercolor
Frank and I had a lovely weekend in St. Augustine, Florida. We went to pick up my painting "Ibises" from the St. Augustine Art Association show, "Nature and Wildlife". The city is so quaint and "Spanish" and it calls for meandering through old narrow streets, sitting looking out at the water, and walking barefoot... in that luscious St Augustine Grass. I sketched in my travelogue while sitting at Castillo de San Marcos, a 17th century fort. Here's is also a front gate scene I saw while walking on Bridge St. It all just struck me as being so lush and tropical.
