I happy to announce that I have been selected as a featured artist by the National Cultural Heritage Tourism Center for their "Forgotten Communities" Art Program. The directors felt that my "Uptown in Downtown Charleston" series fits the objectives of this art project. Check out this link...

7" x 5" - Oil on Canvas
I turned into a dirt street off Savage Road in West Ashley, Charleston, looking for Community Baptist Church. I had seen a sign on the road, and I was looking for a local and quaint scene to paint. This is it! I parked in back of the building and wondered if I was trespassing. I pulled out my stuff onto the trunk of my car and starting painting. A neighbor came out to put out her trash, but she didn't say anything to me, so I kept at it. I was probably there about an hour and a half or so. I love being outside painting!!!
