Market Street

(16" x 20")  Here's my latest watercolor piece.  After spending the last couple of years concentrating on oil painting, it's been fun to get back to watercolors.  Actually, I love painting in both mediums... Can you tell I like to paint detail?

Impressionism, Fashion, and Modernity

Whew! What a month - traveled to Kings Mountain, Charlotte, Lake City, then New York and West Point.
The Marymount College - Class of '70 Reunion was held at West Point, which is near the former Marymount College campus.   A highlight of the trip was a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC where we saw the most awesome exhibit - Impressionism, Fashion & Modernity, featuring paintings by the Impressionist masters like Monet and Degas as well as actual vintage fashions from the 1860's-80's.
Ooooo... there were dresses, shoes, kid gloves, fans, men's attire, and even corsets - all vintage items...
I was in heaven!!!
